as of October 12th 2008, I have installed Google Analytics on this blog.

this is a web-statistics counter for the visitors coming to read this blog.

unless blocked by e.g. NoScript, this code will transfer the following information about you:
- where you are at the moment that you visit
- the browser that you use to view this webpage (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera etc.)
- the screen resolution of your computer
this will be nice for me to know for optimizing the website, also to follow how announcements are followed.

if you do not want any data from your computer to be transferred at all, please make sure that you block the site GoogleAnalytics.com from gathering this information. if you use Mozilla Firefox as a browser, you can do this with the add-on "NoScript"
